“Olivia has provided both daytime care (walks, feeding, litter box cleaning, etc.) and long-term vacation care for my rambunctious family of a Shepherd mix dog and two cats. She goes above and beyond, and I know it’s not an exaggeration to say my pets are probably in better hands with her than with me! Olivia is incredibly compassionate and conscientious towards animals (even my occasionally very annoying ones!) and I can’t recommend her caregiving services enough. Olivia is excellent about providing detailed updates and photos of pets under her care, which is especially appreciated when I’m away on longer vacations. They’re not routine or halfhearted updates, either. Olivia will send me photos of my pets clearly engaged in in-depth play or interaction, and through my pets’ body language I can tell that they’ve been engaged and entertained to a level I aim for. My dog can be finicky about walks and doesn’t always make when led out by strangers (and sometimes even myself) which can lead to understandable accidents at home. That apprehension is almost nonexistent when Olivia is taking care of her, and Olivia is always excellent at informing me of her walk status. One detail that may seem small but dwarfs a lot of other things for me is how much care Olivia puts into my pets’ feeding routine. They’re fed twice a day and usually finish their respective meals, but it’s not uncommon for the dog or one of the cats to go through phases where they’re uninterested in mealtime. If left to their own devices at those moments, the picky party will have their food eaten and go hungry for at least half the day. I try to mediate mealtimes so this doesn’t happen, but it’s hard to expect that level of attention from most pet-sitters. Of course, Olivia isn’t most pet-sitters, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve felt a surge of gratitude when she has texted me to say she had to stay a little later because one of the animals got picky with their meal and had to be given privacy and encouragement to finish all their food before she left. Olivia herself has cared for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to birds and reptiles and even more exotic species. She lights up when she talks about animals. There’s not a lot of people around that can match the compassion and skill she has for animal care. Combined with her innate responsibility and ability to communicate, these qualities all make Olivia the very best caregiver I know of.”

About: Hello, I am Belkys Patricia. from Venezuela, born and raised, I grew up with dogs, cats and all sort of farm animals, even birds and hamsters. My love for animals comes from my mother who has helped/ fed hundreds of dogs and all kind of animal who might be in need. I’ve been trusted to pet sit my friends pets for over 5 years now (you can see some of them in the pictures) and foster a 3yr dog, Benji. Can’t wait to get to know your pups ♥️ I truly believe dogs are like angels, full of love, loyalty, and pure joy. And absolutely family !!! I currently work part time in the city, in hospitality. I have a pretty available/ open schedule I am conveniently located near LaGuardia airport, for easy drop off in case you’re going out of town. I’ll follow your instructions on how you like your dog/cat to be cared for. At the moment I live in a one bedroom apartment and they’re welcome to sit or stay/sleep wherever they please (couch/ bed/ etc), if you prefer crate, then will do so. I have taken care of lots of different breeds and I love to get to know they’re different personalities. There’s several parks around my area to go for play time and walks.

About: I’ve had pets all my life, anywhere from a fish, frog, to a dog or a cats. I love pets, a home isn’t a home without one. I currently share a home with 3 amazing cats, Cleo, Sarafina and our newest member Xeno! I’m currently a full time student; I have a flexible schedule and a beautiful park down the block. I love the nature and everything it brings to the world! I have multiple rooms, a bunch of toys, and a bunch of cat trees/platforms mounted on the wall, which is perfect for high energy cats. Along with a small fenced backyard for extra wandering. I live in a nice neighborhood, quiet and a lot of parks!
